I have taught 4th grade for 10 years. I earned my bachelor's degree at Augsburg college and went back to receive my master's degree at St. Mary's. I am currently teaching 4th grade. :)
Experience
I love being a teacher and feel honored to be a part of such a wonderful profession. It is so rewarding for me to see children set goals and meet them throught the school year. I also really value the time I have with students individually. I am able to teach twice the material since other classroom distractions are not around. Which is why I love tutoring; we are able to really focus and make great progress together.

Of you were to ask one of my students to describe me, this is probably what they would say. " Ms. L is crazy and funny, but her class is not easy! She sings a lot during the school day and dances weird too!" Hopefully they would also note they think I'm a good teacher and help them learn. I have two children that I adore! I tell funny stories about them to my students. I actually had a student knit my little boy a hat this year. :) My teaching philosophy is stated as this, " All students can learn, just not on the same day or in the same way."
